INESC TEC develops laser technology for the identification of materials

The researchers of INESC TEC’s Centre for Applied Photonics (CAP) developed a laser technology based on artificial intelligence that allows to identify and quantify minerals in real time. The developed system, which is protected by a European patent application, is capable of self-learning, that is, by means of new data, the technology will progressively learn the new behaviour to be acquired.  Mais...


INESC TEC’s researchers awarded at Science Summit 2019


The mobile application, developed by INESC TEC's researchers Nuno Moniz and Arian Pasquali and by Tomás Amaro from Hostelworld was awarded first place in the prize. The award was given by the Portuguese Prime Minister at “Science Summit 2019”. In addition to this distinction, in this event INESC TEC also presented a robot for picking operations in aeronautics, a ‘wearable’ device for “wrist rigidity” evaluation patients with Parkinson's disease, and participated with oral communications and e-posters.   Mais...
