Beyond Vision, Research & Development Engineer
- Years when you began working at INESC TEC and when you left: 2016-2019
- INESC TEC Centre(s) with which the company collaborated: Centre for Robotics and Autonomous Systems (CRAS)
What have you been doing professionally since you left INESC TEC?
In March of 2019, I have joined the newly formed Research and Development group of Beyond Vision (PDM Group). The major goal of this company is to actively contribute to the scientific knowledge breakthrough, currently being focused on the aerial robotics. Here, I have had an active participation in several National and European projects, including AFarCloud. My current roles are related to all development areas of aerial vehicles in terms of hardware and software, from their conception to their execution.
How did your experience at INESC TEC contributed to your new professional history?
In my time at INESC TEC, I had the opportunity to work and be in touch with Robotics on a daily basis. The focus of my work group was always on aerial vehicles, which gave me the experience and expertise that are useful in my current work. However, the contact with robots from other fields, such as the underwater ones, was also of great importance. The knowledge of the variables and specificities of each robot allowed me to have a more general view of robotics.
When you think about INESC TEC, what comes to your mind?
When I think about my time at INESC TEC, I think about Knowledge, Companionship, Achievements and, mainly, on Growth, both personally and professionally. Since INESC TEC was the place where I took my first steps in the Robotics world, I will always have a special place in my heart for it. Who knows if the personal and professional goals that had put us apart yesterday won’t be the bridge for a new connection tomorrow!
