Ahmed Fares comes from Egypt, and he arrived at INESC TEC in 2017, and he’s been carrying out his research activities at the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Decision Support since then, using machine learning explainability techniques to understand why models make certain decisions. He loves the city of Porto, where he feels at home – especially the beach, which reminds him of his hometown, Alexandria.
