Bianca Banica, Romania

She arrived at INESC TEC during the pandemic, from Romania, with a very full luggage – from Theatre and Cinema, she took a chance in Automation and Computer Science. She then completed the degree in Systems Engineering and the Master’s in Service Engineering and Management. She’s currently a PhD student at the Faculty of Engineering of UP and a researcher at INESC TEC, focusing on smart cities and citizens’ involvement in energy transition, through the adoption of more sustainable behaviours. She describes Portugal as a colourful, sunny and relaxed country, and one of the first words she learned was meia-de-leite. Let’s get to know Bianca.
