The Communication Service once again challenged all INESC TEC’s collaborators to participate in the Photo Competition “Holidays 2019”. Just like in the previous editions, the competition occurred on the social media Instagram, with 18 photos entering competition.
All participants were asked to publish their favourite holiday photo on Instagram with the hashtag #INESCTECférias19 and identifying the INESC TEC @inesctec account.

The voting was then made in two ways: the public elected a photo by voting on a webpage. The evaluation jury, composed of an element of the Olhares website and INESC TEC’s collaborators, Artur Pimenta Alves, INESC TEC’s Associate Director and António Lucas Soares, Coordinator of the Centre for Enterprise Systems Engineering, would vote for the second winning photo.

This year, the competition had a new feature: an official sponsor. The online photography community “Olhares” joined the competition and will offer the award to the photography elected by the jury.
João Moreira, researcher of INESC TEC’s Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Decision Support (LIAAD) will be able to choose an online photography course from Academia Olhares. José Paulos, researcher of the Centre for Power and Energy Systems (CPES), will receive a kit from INESC TEC for receiving the most votes from the public.
The awards will be delivered later this year in an internal event to be announced.
