What have you been doing professionally since you left INESC TEC?

I’ve been working within the scope of the European project LightKone. My main goal is to combine the work I’ve been carrying out for my PhD thesis with the project’s activities; so, I proposed an amelioration of the consistency policy of a minidote system. I also got back to my positions as assistant lecturer and researcher at the university. I am also writing a scientific paper about my participation in the project, in order to complete my PhD thesis.

How did your experience at INESC TEC contributed to your new professional history?

I started working on January 7 2020, and planned to stay for eight months, Unfortunately, the lockdown began in the first week of March, which hindered my work; I left Portugal in June, and I wasn’t able to return.

Despite spending little time at HASLab/INESCTEC, my experience was very helpful to my research career. I learned a lot about teamwork and writing scientific papers, and I improved my skills concerning presenting and defending ideas.

When you think about INESC TEC, what comes to your mind?

Collaboration and innovation. I feel proud of having been part of this institution and I miss all those I have worked with.
