What have you been doing professionally since you left INESC TEC?
After leaving INESC TEC, I took on the role of Assistant Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança – School of Communication, Public Management and Tourism in the city of Mirandela. This change allowed me to dedicate more time to teaching and learning. My daily life now revolves around studying, learning, and teaching; the triad to which I believe I am most motivated and challenged by.
How did your experience at INESC TEC contributed to your professional history?
I learned a lot at INESC TEC, and as I mentioned before, one of the things that motivates me the most is learning. While working at INESC TEC, I learned and perfected not only my artistic practices in the fields of communication design, animation, multimedia, and illustration, but also my interpersonal skills, as part of a team. At INESC TEC, I found a way to feed my “little monster” of scientific curiosity – which I keep nurturing whenever possible.
When you think about INESC TEC, what comes to your mind?
Many things come to mind; but right off the bat, my colleagues. The path I took with the different people I worked with left a mark on my life. With these people, I learned a great lesson in empathy, due to all the hours spent working towards common goals, embracing major challenges always with quality as the ultimate goal. The longing for challenges, laughter, smiles, and coffee-breaks is often in my memory. Above all, I grew a lot at INESC TEC, and that is something for which I will always be grateful.
