Adrian Galvez, Cuba

Adrian Carrilo Galvez travelled across the Atlantic and found what he’s looking for at INESC TEC: an opportunity to carry out scientific research and “achieve results with impact on real-life aspects”. He arrived in January, straight from Havana, and he already knew Porto’s “breathtaking views” – but he was mesmerised with the sights of Jardim do Morro and historical Ribeira. He’s a researcher at CPES, working on a project to decarbonise seaports. He’s been “sharing” and “learning” a lot at INESC TEC; he gets to know new cultures and make new friends, sharing his “time with very interesting persons” and “intelligent researchers”.
