INESC TEC’s laboratories welcomed the new FEUP’s students of the 2019/2020 academic year

INESC TEC’s laboratories were open to freshmen students from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), as part of the welcoming initiatives to new students of the 2019/20 academic year. On 18 September, nearly 50 young people had the opportunity to visit INESC TEC’s facilities and to get into close contact with the researchers’ work.

The visits took place in the Laboratory of Sound and Music Computing, Laboratory of Smart Grids and Electric Vehicles, Optical and Electronic Technologies Research Laboratory, Laboratory of Industrial Robotics, and Computer Graphics, Interaction and Gaming Laboratory.

The new FEUP’s students were able to get to know more about the activities and main projects of the laboratories, to interact with INESC TEC’s researchers and also to try techniques and equipment.

Every year, INESC TEC joins this important moment of the academic calendar in order to present the work and to attract new talents.
