Former INESC TEC researcher elected to the Technical Advisory Board of the Research Data Alliance

João Rocha da Silva, former researcher at INESC TEC ‘s Centre for Information Systems and Computer Graphics (CSIG), was elected to the Technical Advisory Board of the Research Data Alliance (RDA). This is the first time that Portugal has an elected member, allowing to carry on the connection with the initiative.

The Technical Advisory Board is responsible for leading technical issues and advising the RDA Council. More specifically, it covers the development, review and promotion of RDA working groups and interest groups.

Launched in 2013, by the European Commission, the National Science Foundation of the United States Government, the National Institute of Standards and Technology and the Australian Government’s Department of Innovation, the RDA establishes social and technical relationships to enable open sharing and date reuse.
