INESC TEC is looking for college students who wish to develop research in telecommunications and multimedia

During the summer holidays, higher education students will have the opportunity to participate in research and development activities, with the support of expert advisors in one of the four areas of the Centre for Telecommunications and Multimedia (CTM), at the Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science (INESC TEC). Through the “CTM Summer Internships” initiative, INESC TEC grants students the opportunity to gather knowledge and experience, while establishing contacts in the telecommunications and multimedia domain.

Over the course of a month, INESC TEC will open its doors to college students who wish to establish some foundations for research projects at advanced laboratories, and to understand how their curricula apply to a real environment.

Wireless networks; optical and electronic technologies; communications and multimedia technologies; visual computing and Artificial Intelligence – these are the four areas covered, with students benefiting from the support of expert advisors. The “CTM Summer Internships” start on July 1 and take place in person or online (students can also apply to the hybrid scheme). In the end, students will have the possibility to present the results of the work developed, during a final session, and apply to one of the “Best Internship” awards.

Registration runs until May 15, and all those interested must submit the form on the event’s website. Before the start of the internships, INESC TEC will organise a Q&A session to clear any doubts regarding this initiative. Registration for the session is also available on the website.
