“Building the future with science”. This was the motto of Ciência 2022 – Encontro com a Ciência e Tecnologia em Portugal, which took place between May 16 and 18, at Lisbon’s Congress Centre. In addition to the presence of researchers, entrepreneurs, policy makers, students and teachers, the event was also the stage for the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), an institution dedicated to the management and financing of Portuguese science.
During the three days, the participants were able to attend different types of sessions (plenary, thematic, presentations, etc.) and visit a space dedicated to demonstrations and scientific posters. This year’s guest country was Egypt, with a significant involvement in the event’s programme, highlighting the exchange initiatives and the scientific cooperation between both countries.
