The “Fundamentals of the 4th Industrial Revolution Technology, a New e-learning Resource for Companies” was introduced at a later stage of the webinar. This is the first online course focused on digital transformation for industry in the country, and it addresses – from the management’s perspective – concepts that managers are usually unaware of. This course comprises 20 thematic chapters, it has approximately six hours of content and it targets employees from different company levels: from the administrator to the production technical staff.

The different modules of the course will focus on diverse themes, such as the importance of transformation in companies, smart factories and their technologies, decision support technologies – digital twin and simulation, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data -, new information system architectures in the era of industry 4.0 and novel products, materials and business models that may eventually emerge. At the end of each chapter, a set of questions and take-aways will help the platform users consolidate and validate the knowledge acquired. Upon completing the course, all participants will receive a certificate with recognition from INESC TEC and COTEC Portugal.

New online sessions are planned for the upcoming weeks, in partnership with COTEC Portugal.
