INESC TEC podcast among the nominees for national award

INESC TEC Science Bits was among the five nominees in the “Science, Technology and Education” category of the PODES awards – a national award that aims to acknowledge podcasts in different areas.

Science Bits featured among the nominees of the PODES awards, integrating a set of 70 nominees, distributed among 14 categories. In addition to Science Bits, the “Science, Technology and Education” category featured Plantas da Serra, Azul, Em Banho Maria and Falando de História. The prize, awarded by a jury of 14 personalities, went to the Azul podcast, by the newspaper Público.

“We’re very happy for this nomination – which, we believe, reinforces the quality of the format and content that we produce, while valuing the contribution that we have been making not only in the dissemination of science, technology and innovation, but also in the discussion around the different themes we address during each episode”, said Sofia Maciel.

According to the Assistant Manager of INESC TEC Communication Service, and leading producer of the podcast, this is a recognition that motivates the Institute’s communication team to keep promoting content and formats towards the development of science communication in Portugal. “We seek to take science, technology and innovation beyond the doors of laboratories, and we know that communication plays a fundamental role in this process,” she concluded.
