International experts assess INESC TEC

On November 10 and 11, INESC TEC’s Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), a statutory body composed of international researchers, visited the Institute’s headquarters, for the periodic institutional visit.

SAB brings together experts in INESC TEC’s scientific areas, from different countries and organisations, in order provide a simultaneously comprehensive and thorough outlook of the Institute’s scientific activities and progress.

To present INESC TEC’s progress in terms of research, the visit included parallel sessions to explore specific work developed within the four science domains – Computer Science, Networked Intelligent Systems, Industrial and Systems Engineering, and Power and Energy -, as well as a plenary session focused on multidisciplinary activities with great socio-economic impact.

Regarding INESC TEC’s organisational model, SAB had the opportunity to discuss issues such as Human Resources, financing, gender balance and social responsibility.
