Fernando Cassola and Ricardo Bessa, researchers at INESC TEC, have been publicly and officially recognised by the European Commission as experts who contributed to two strategic studies.
One of the studies, Study on the EU’s Critical Digital Capacities Deployment Beyond 2027, has already been published. Further information is available on the European Commission page Boosting Tech Deployment Beyond 2027.
The recognised experts took part in interviews, workshops and surveys, contributing to a set of recommendations that will help shape future European priorities for research, innovation and the development of strategic digital capabilities.
The inclusion of the two INESC TEC researchers represents formal recognition by the European Commission of the Institute’s expertise in areas such as strategic digital technologies, technological sovereignty, interoperability and digital transformation. It also further acknowledges INESC TEC’s contribution and impact on national and European public policy.
The consultation process to which Fernando Cassola and Ricardo Bessa contributed is documented in the report Summary Report on Stakeholder and Expert Consultations.
