João Catalão, INESC TEC researcher, was recently appointed Fellow by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). This nomination, which will be formalised in January 2022, is the result of the researcher’s contribution to the fields of energy systems operation and active management of consumption. This title, besides quite exclusive, is the highest acknowledgment by IEEE, and it highlights the technical, educational and leadership developments of its members.
