The success stories of INESC TEC were highlighted in the Strategic Meeting 2019, which was held on 13 September at the Dr. António Cupertino de Miranda Foundation, in Porto. Before an audience of 230 collaborators, good examples of each of INESC TEC’s four clusters took the stage: Computer Science, Industry and Innovation, Networked Intelligent Systems and Power and Energy.
Each story contemplated the entire knowledge value chain, from the achieved research advances to the impact that technology transfer had on clients/partners from several industry sectors.
In the opening session, João Claro, Chief Executive Officer, presented the newly developed activity that benefited from the reflection on the results of the last Strategic Meeting, namely the relationship between centres, clusters and TEC4.
Interaction, networking and jazz
At the conclusion of the annual INESC TEC’s community meeting, José Manuel Mendonça, Chairman of the Board, while answering the questions raised during the event, underlined that many other success stories are being built today at INESC TEC, in all scientific areas and centres. This dynamism is proved by the negotiation of several contracts with international companies, the launch of new spin-offs, and the several protocols that are being signed with different institutions that chose INESC TEC to develop their projects.
More than just a work meeting, the Strategic Meeting once again provided a moment of interaction and networking for all INESC TEC’s collaborators, with the music of INESC TEC Jazz Band being included.
