INESC TEC promotes training sessions of the EIT Jumpstarter 2020 programme

Between July and September 2020, the INESC TEC Centre for Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CITE) organised seven intensive training sessions (online) within the scope of the EITJumpstarter programme, with the final activities taking place on September 21, at INESC TEC facilities. This initiative came from a challenge launched by EIT Manufacturing RIS Hub Portugal, coordinated by INESC TEC, and included the participation of the FabInventors team (EIT Manufacturing).

The team composed of Alexandra Xavier, Sara Neves, Cristina Barbosa and Cristina Guimarães, was responsible for the management and implementation of the local training programme, aimed at supporting the selected teams in areas of business model canvas, go-to-market strategy, development roadmap and communication of value proposition to the target market. In addition to the aforementioned sessions, CITE also promoted individual coaching sessions for each team.

The work carried out by the CITE team led to the selection of three (FETALIX, Agrodrone and FabInventors) of the four teams supported by INESC TEC for the final event of the EIT Jumpstarter 2020 programme. In the European final, which took place on November 25, FETALIX won the first place in the EIT Health category. Another of the competing teams, FabInventors, reached the third place in the competition promoted by EIT Manufacturing, BoostUp!.

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a EU body created in 2008, focuses on strengthening Europe’s innovation capacity, by integrating business, education and research in order to find solutions to the current global challenges.
